Friday

Today I came in and took my room temps. Then I took the some of the snakes that where going to be fed to room 103. I took the supplies for the new medication room and put them in there. I gathered some pinkies so we could force feed the larger snakes. I recorded the medication and assisted when needed. I set up a new medication supply rack in the new medication room. I cleaned up the room when we finished medicating and washed the tubes. Then I relocated the snakes that were force fed back to there proper places on the racks. I threw out some trash. Then I closed the displays for the weekend and locked the other doors. I also cleaned about 3 cages while we force fed.

Thursday

Today I came in and gather some mice to feed the smaller snakes. I got the clip board to record the feeding information. We fed 84 snakes and cleaned 10 of the baby cages. I helped bruno clean snake cages and change the water dishes in the Moccasin cages. We cleaned 27 cages and changed 15 water dishes.

Tuesday October 24, 2006

Today I came in and took my room temps. Then I gathered what I needed so I could clean the HCR-1 mouse room.I cleaned 20 breeder cages and 5 of the large holding cages. I sexed out my mice and set up three large cages. I cleaned up and mopped. I took out my trash and cleaned one of the rabbit cages. After lunch I cleaned the other rabbit cage and took out my trash and mopped the rabbit room. Then I helped Juan in room 103 clean snakes. We cleaned all of the snakes and relocated the timber and atrox back to the displays. I mopped rooms 102, 103, 104 and the display room.

Friday

Today I took some of the room temps. I water the balb/c mice. I helped move some of the things in 111 and the prep lab so the floors could get painted. I helped medicate and force feed the snakes. I cleaned 9 snake cages. I also helped relocate the snakes after we finished.

Thursday

Today I came in and took my room tempuratures in all the snake rooms. Then I gathered 15 day old mice, 6 pinkies, and 2 hoppers to feed the snakes. Then I took all the things we needed to feed the snakes to the display room and started to right down all the numbers of the snakes that where going to be fed. Then lucy and I seperated the snakes in the displays so we could feed them. After that we continued to feed the display room and moved on to room 102. We fed all the snake except the cobras. I opened a box of paper towels and put them on the shelf. I put the empty box in the twilight zone. Then Lucy and I fed the forest cobras and that was interesting. After that we went to room 111 and fed the baby snakes. We had to sacrifice more mice and I had to get some more of the smaller mice to finish the babies. Then we went to the quarantine rooms and fed the skinny snakes. We fed 161 snakes total. I cut a bunch of paper for the snake cages. Moved some of the Items in the dirty cage room to the storage rooms in the twilight zone. Open two boxes of Q-tips and put them in a zipper bag. Went to semenar. Did janitorial in display room and room 102. Closed the display shades and locked the door.

Wednesday

Today I came in and continued to clean in the balb/c room. I cleaned untill Mark came to extract I pippetted for them. After processing and recording I went and finished in my mouse room. I finisished the room and sacrificed my mice I threw out my trash and vacuumed and mopped my mouse room. I helped Lucy take the snakes to the cxtraction room when I came in as well.

Tuesday

Today I came in and took my room Temps. After that I gather the materials to start cleaning the balb/c mouse room. I cleaned 30 breeder cages and then weighed out 50 mice for testing and set up the cages. I set up new cages for the over wieght mice and the under wieght mice then labeled them. I place the dirty cages in the dirty cage room. Then I took out my trash. I sexed out some mice and cleaned up for the day. I took out my trash.

Friday 13!!!!!

Today I came in and put paper on the extraction table for the snakes that were going to be force fed and medicated. The I did my janitorial in all the snake rooms. Then I helped move the snakes from quarantine to room 103 so they could be medicated. I helped Juan and Lucy medicate and force feed and recorded the info. We cleaned 16 snake cages total. I threw out two bags of trash. Went and locked up with lucy. Put the snakes back after medicating and feeding.

Tuesday and Wednesday

Tuesday I came in and took the temps in the rooms that weren't already recorded. Then I went and gathered the things I needed to clean my mouse room. I set up a cage of 8 mice for an experiment. I cleaned 20 cages and set up a large cage from the hoppers. I swept and mopped when I finished. Then I made sure the rabbits had food and water.
Wednesday I came in and took the room temps. After that I continued to clean the mouse room and finish. Then I pippetted the venom from the extractions. After that I cleaned my work area. Then I went to clean the two rabbit cages. I finished them and vacuumed and mopped. I took out my trash and then locked the rabbit room. I stamped 1 package of paper and thats all for the day.

Friday!!!!!!

Today I came in and helped lucy put the baby snakes on the cart and to room 103 to be force fed. Then I started to take my room temps. I changed the batteries in two of thermometers. After that I unlocked the door for the painters. I gave the Balb/c mice water and food for the weekend. After that I swept rooms 102, 104 and the display and mopped. Then I helped lucy and Juan force feed and I also recorded for them.

Thursday

Today I took my room temps. Then I went and gather the mice for the smaller snakes. I got juan to make copies of the feeding record papers. I helped lucy take all the materials so we could feed and clean snakes. We fed 163 snakes total. We changed the water dishes in for the mocasins. We cleaned 21 cages in room 111. We cleaned 5 in the Isolation room and 3 in the Quarantine room. After feeding each snake I recorded on paper the information of how many mice each was fed. Lucy and I finished she cleaned up and I went to count how many snakes were fed. I then clean the cart we used and wiped it down with bleach.

Wednesday

Today I came in and took the room temps and stated in my mouse room. I cleaned 9 large cages and then pippetted the venom from the extraction. I continued and finished my mouse room and swept and mopped.

Tuesday

Today I came in and took some of my room temps. Then I got shavings and cages together to clean my room. I also changed the batteries of the electronic thermometers in room 111. I cleaned 65 cages in the Balb/c mouse room before lunch. After lunch I went with Lucy to pick up rabbits. I set them up in the rabbit room and fixed their water and food. Then I continued to work in my mouse room and clean 10 more cages including the experimental test cages. I swept and mopped. I threw the trash out as well.
